not that I know of. All the sight hounds probably originated with the Pharaohs.
Saluki were used for gazelle hunting. Talk about a funny looking one.

A few differences in the body shapes. Yes, I'm asked about the furry greyhound. Borzoi aren't common. That is a good thing.
