Not really I have just gone with NZ white due to size and ease of processing. (Ie white fur doesn’t show as easily on the meat)

White vinegar on a rag to wipe down game helps cut the sticky and makes hair much easier to remove.

An unsolicited recommendation to the preppers. I have been using a Berkey filter for about 6 yrs now and highly recommend them. There manual so you have to run them in batches but the water taste great and I have been very happy with it. DW is not so sure but I believe I could filter pool or ditch water and drink it.
