⭐ Kiki's Year Long 🌶️

We have chickens. What do you mean waste? You are making chicken food.

They love the freeze damaged sweet potatoes that don't taste right to me. I should have put more mulch on top since I didn't dig them. C'est la vie.
If you make a soup or stew that is too salty, you can remove excess salt by adding a whole peeled potato or two and cooking. The potato will absorb the salt and become unfit to eat. Once you have removed enough salt remove the potato and toss it.

I have done similar when cooking "bomber" sage grouse. I parboil the pieced out grouse with a large quartered onion and a couple of peeled potatoes. Both the onion and the potatoes become filled with the excess sage. Once the grouse is tender, I fry it. I toss the boiling water and the onion and potatoes as they are unfit to eat.
