I always smash first then remove. Years of dealing with bees while having long hair. Anytime a bee gets stuck in hair, it will sting. Smash first then remove.

Good advice! I didn’t even think wasp when I grabbed it luckily it wasn’t a bad sting…. It stopped hurting fairly quickly
