Shrike's Wing was out with a patrol of Growlers to run a check of the territory, she's stopped following the Chasers as she prefers the Growlers duties to theirs. The Soot Troop group of Growlers crossed into Ash Troop scent checks, apparently the patrol leader needed to meet up with Leopard's Bite but Shrike didn't much care about most of this kind of stuff.

Leopard's Bite had passed on going out with a hunting party today, it was a big one with enough Chasers to take down three to five large prey animals and enough Growlers to guard and watch the hunt but her mind was on other things and she wasn't in the spirit to join in any patrol outside the camp.

Flame was leading the hunting patrol, occasionally sniffing around in case of lions or other packs. She was looking around for some prey that the Chasers could take down with a little bit of the Growlers help when she saw a wildebeest. She signaled to the Chasers to take the lead and she fell behind them, waiting for them to signal to her what she needed to do.

Flame was leading the hunting patrol, occasionally sniffing around in case of lions or other packs. She was looking around for some prey that the Chasers could take down with a little bit of the Growlers help when she saw a wildebeest. She signaled to the Chasers to take the lead and she fell behind them, waiting for them to signal to her what she needed to do.

Jasper was stalking along the tall savanna grass with the Chasers, the Growlers had spotted a wildebeest that had strayed from its herd a bit. He watched for the lead Chaser to signal their attack, he glanced at the Growlers to see they were in watch positions which put him a bit at ease. He had stalked with the Growlers a few times and understand they would be staying a bit back to watch for lurking hyenas or other predators that might try to interrupt. A tail signal was sent and in a flash the Chasers took off after the wildebeest, its herd panicked a few yards off but they were ignored as the dogs crowded at their target's hooves. Jasper sprinted full force with his pack mates, he lunged forward and snapped his jaws viciously into the wildebeest's hide quarters before falling back to avoid getting kicked. The chase didn't last too long before the dogs injured their prey too much for it to keep running and it went down hard.

Once she was content that none would be coming soon, she let out a howl to tell the others back at camp that they had gotten food. She walked up to the wildebeest and gave it a sniff, then backed off and climbed onto a nearby rock to give her a better look out point for if another predator would be coming.

Jasper clamped down on one of the wildebeest's legs with few of the other New-Colors as it was their job to haul their prey back to camp. Jasper's tail wagged happily as he heaved the wildebeest along the ground, he wondered if the Pack Organizers would impressed when they got back.

Shrike shook her head "Nothing of note, some hyenas passed through here but they probably won't harass us without prey on us." She stated a bit boredly, she couldn't wait to just get to Ash Troop camp to talk to Leopard's Bite and the trip there was just making her antsy
