She got up with a grunt, crossly kicking a pebble she had been laying on. "Well I obviously don't know much about this, so tell me." She sat down and perhaps for the first time in her life, looked patient.

He nodded "It has to be like a big sign that either you or the current Shaman receives. Like a warthog tusk... or something else rare like that."

"I'm not completely sure how it works, but if the current Shaman receives a sign, then it tells them the dog's name but if I found the sign, then the dog that finds the sign can be a Shaman."
