Artemis walked along the city sidewalks, enjoying the sounds and sights that were all around her. She realized now how greater she missed her freedom than she had thought. Watching the people walk past her, each with their own stories, made her realize in a new light, how precious life truly was. Every moment of it.

Vanessa, looking through the refrigerator, realized with dismay that they were out of a couple key ingredients. She could have sworn she had bought them the other day, but this week had been a busy one so she probably just forgot. "Jaxson, I'll be back in ten," she called as she headed out the door. He had gone to his bedroom for something and likely didn't hear her, but she left anyway. There was a store within walking distance so she headed for that one.

Simeon smiled back, he thought she might just feel the same way back. Now he awaited the end of the ride with more enthusiasm.

(Nope, I missed it.)
Brooklyn drove in silence for the remaining part of the ride. "We need to make a stop." She announced, pulling into a gas station after noticing that the car had nearly run out of gas.

Artemis walked for a long while in peace, before deciding to cross a street so that she could enjoy window shopping while she walked. The evening crowd began to thin out allowing her to see a familiar face. She immediately recognized Venessa. Gasping underbreath, she looked down and kept moving, but she had already been seen.

Vanessa stopped and stared, confusedly, at a girl in a floppy hat a few feet away who she was sure had been looking at her. She couldn't place the face, but the outfit triggered a memory in her head and she sighed in realization. Amy. The person reminded her of Amy, which was logical since she had just been thinking of the girl. Brushing away the idea that it was her, Vanessa continued towards her destination but kept an eye on the hat as she walked. Surely it wasn't Amy, who she thought lived on the other side of the city, the outskirts.

She entered the store, but not before glancing over her shoulder once more in case the girl was near.

(I made it so Artemis was walking on the same side of the street as Venessa, so that their literally passing eachother...)
