Simeon didn't react. He had spotted a Mira in the backyard, it seemed to be hurt. He quickly drew his gun and prepared to go outside.

Brooklyn watched his face full of curiosity. "Simeon, what is it?" Clutching her side, she weakly rose from the bathtub ledge and followed after him. Seeing the Mira, and the gun that was pointed at it, she cried out in fear. "No, please! I'm begging you, don't hurt it!"

Simeon's eyes were full of scorn. He chuckled, bewildered, and replied "They killed my whole family. They deserve to."

Brooklyn threw herself in front of the Mira, sheilding the Mira's body from the gun with her own. She trembled, waiting for Simeon to pull the trigger.

Simeon put the gun down, and walked back into the kitchen, to finish the breakfast. It was burnt. He cursed, unhappy as ever. He threw a utensil against the wall in frustration. All the Mira deserves to die, after killing the only thing he had left to love: his sister. He began eating the burnt bacon, starting up a new batch for Brooklyn. Why he was even housing her, he didn't know.

Artemis was hesitant but crossed the room. In silence she did as told, facing the wall, she waited to be handcuffed.
"One question before we get this ball rolling," Jaxson said quietly. "Do you have a place to go when you get out?" He asked, pointedly not saying if to give himself, and maybe her, a little more confidence in this plan. "I don't care to get you out, only to have you returned tomorrow because you had nowhere to hide."

Brooklyn let her previously ceasing breath out. She looked to the Mira and warned him to leave at the sound of Simeon's rising anger.

Artemis heartbeat faltered at the unexpected question. "No." She replied in honesty. "I can't hide with the Contenders, I will only lead Hans to them.'

Simeon tried to calm himself down. He set the table for Brooklyn, she was probably hungry. All he wanted was to rest, but he knew that wouldn't happen for a while.

(Amy? :p )

"Oh," Jaxson frowned. He took a small step back, thinking. "In that case, are you still up for it? For getting out?" He asked, despite knowing that if she did escape, her chances of surviving were slim if she had no destination in mind.

Brooklyn remained outside, where it was safe. Simeon was unpredictable, and so was his angry, causing her to question his loyalties.
