"Fine by me." Devine shrugged, leading her immediately to a booth with a floor-to-ceiling window that allowed him to look out across the city. He sat and waited for Aya to sit across from him.
Aya followed him and sat down, crossing her legs and glancing out the window for a few moments.
"So...What's your profession?" She asked conversationally, politely looking at him so she could let him know she actually cared to know.

Artemis quickened her step at the sound of distant barks, pushing herself to run harder as the barks became closer to where she was; it was evident by the dog's vicious barks that they couldn't be silenced by any other means than by her blood. Willing herself to run faster than she ever had, she struggled to navigate through the thickly wooded trees.

(Alrighty. Starting to give you the last bit of danger now. But now Artemis has to do something that I'm sure would be rather difficult for people who despise hurting things. Kill the dog. XD)

One of the Anatolians, which hadn't had as much training and less skill, had left the pack just a little bit too much and had cared less about making sure he was following a trail, but instead ran full speed wherever the heck he wanted.
The sound of running had attracted him to a person, though, and so he ran after it, halfway wanting to hunt it and halfway excited. He barked loudly, allowing Artemis to know that one had gotten a little farther than the others, and wasn't a very safe distance away.

"I'm unsure if going back home would be a great idea. The C.M.I are everywhere, there's almost no doubt they'd notice us if we came back." Charlie scratched his chin, thinking.
"I took a few years of flying lessons. Maybe I can figure out how to fly this thing...Or we could just hold the pilot hostage and get him to take us where we need to go."

"Yeah," Trixie agreed. "I think that, even though we're lacking weapons, we could use surprise to take them. I mean, obviously it's going to be hard, but it'll be easier if we had a distraction, or if they didn't know we were coming. Which they won't."
Trixie rested her head back on the cold, smooth wall behind her.

Devine casually looked around the cafe, finding it empty except for a single person working behind the counter. He waited until the woman at the counter turned on some kind of loud machine. He leaned closer to Aya, whispering; "I am a secret agent assigned by the government to seek and destroy remaining Mira." As the hum of the coffee machine quieted, he leaned back against the booth and waited for Aya's response.

(I love danger, bring it on! Besides, I couldn't go outside her character, there's gotta be some rule against that, right? We'll just see what happens :p)
The dog had nearly caught up with Artemis, and she despretly searched for some way to escape the dogs blood-thirsty jaws. She looked ahead, seeing a tree there. She ran harder, hoping she could reach the tree before the dog reached her. Then, maybe, she could escape the dog by climbing higher thatn it could reach.

(Oh, ok ;) When is your next episode of "Vanessa and Jaxson" coming out? Please tell me it won't take as long as it takes BBC's Sherlock Holmes to be released :p Just kidding :D)
( I'm dying to see that, but it's taking so long to get to the US! :hit
I was waiting to give Artemis some running time so V & J's actions would be relative to her time.
^^ does that make sense? Or should I go back to bed  )
