(Time skip to when she meets with Amy? I can start if you like silkie.)
Artemis soon surfaced the water after the indistinctive shouts of the men chasing her faded with the sound of rushing water. She pulled herself unto dry land being weighed down by the water which clung to her as closely as her fears. Looking to the sky informed her that she didn't have time to dry herself; she had to keep moving towards shelter before nightfall.
(we gonna continue with Brooklyn and Simeon or no?)

Artemis willed herself to knock gently on the back entrance of the coffee shop. She shook in the cool breeze, arms wrapped around herself trying to ward off the cold which soaked all the wat through her bones following the channels of water which still dripped from her body. The silence of the alley left her hanging her head in the shame of having to involve her friend in such a dangerous situation.
Amy paused on the stairs and cocked her head to listen, a confused look on her face. She thought she had heard something, a knock maybe, but it was probably just the wind. No one would be ignorant enough to be in these streets in the dark. Either way, she set the basket on the landing and descended the steep steps to check the doors. The light over the front door revealed nothing besides an empty step with the dark street beyond. She backed out of the room and headed for the back door, stopping to take a kitchen knife from the drawer. She felt slightly silly doing it, but one could never be too cautious, right? She put her ear to the door and waited for if the sound should be repeated.

Artemis waited a while with no reply. Again she knocked, buy this time less heartily. She was tempted to leave before she could involve her friend in her own circumstances. Amy had nothing to do with this, and for that she experienced a pain of guilt for even coming to ask her for help.

Amy sighed softly when she heard it. So someone had knocked. Gripping the knife tightly, she turned the bolt and then opened the door slowly. "Hello?" She said quietly as she pushed the door open a crack, just enough to see directly to the left of the door.

Artemis backed up a few feet so Amy could see her through the cracked doorway. "It's me, Artemis." She whispered, sounding ashamed. She held her hands out at her side, indicating she wasn't armed incase Amy didn't recognize her in the dim alley lights.

Amy breathed a sigh of relief when she heard the voice. She hadn't heard from Artemis in weeks, and then she had heard that a few of them had been captured, Artemis' absence had been explained. She nudged the door just wide enough for someone to fit through and beckoned for her to come in. "How did you...?" She trailed off when she saw Artemis' dripping wet figure.

Artemis hesitantly stepped inside. "I'm suppose to be dead." Artemis immediately warned Amy, wanting her to know the truth so that it was her decision of whether or not she was willing to risk her life to hide her. "If they find me with you, they will kill you too."

Without hesitating, Amy replied, "We'll just have to make sure they don't find you, then." She closed the door behind Artemis and bolted it, then slipped the chain at the top into its loop to double secure the door. She returned the knife to its drawer then beckoned for Artemis to follow her. "Since you're surely being searched for right now, we'd best go upstairs to talk and I can get you a dry outfit," she explained.
