Amy stiffened at Artemis' reply. She had expected that answer, hoped for that answer, yet when it came, it surprised her. She stood abruptly, setting the book aside on the table, and went to refill her half full cup. The silence that suddenly fell between them was heavy, but she didn't wish to break it. Not yet, at least. It had been ages since she had heard from either of them; ages since she had heard either name spoken aloud, and this new information needed processing. She picked up the coffeepot to pour but immediately set it down. "I hope you don't mind sleeping on the couch," she said finally. "I have plenty of blankets, so it shouldn't be too uncomfortable."

"The couch is all I need." Artemis decided quietly. She was too tired to be able to stay awake long enough to be uncomfortable, so there was no reason for Amy to trouble herself with finding blankets. She went to the couch, and crowded the pillows to one side of the couch, taking her shoes off and placing them aside before laying down.

Despite Artemis answer, Amy went to the closet and brought out a quilt for her. "Just in case," she said quietly. "I get up around 6, but if you happen to be up before then, make yourself at home. Just be wary of the windows," she explained.

Simeon nodded, knowing that it would be sore, but glad it didn't cause her too much pain. He asked "Did you see the guest room?"

"Not yet." Brooklyn replied, closing the box of chocolates and setting it aside as she waited for him to show her to the room.
(Sorry, but I'm a my limit with rps right now ;) )

"I will." Artemis whispered, taking the blanket which she then laid over her. She laid her head against the pillow and quickly fell asleep.

Amy hurriedly changed into her pajamas then slipped under the quilt on her bed. The day had been good, the shop had been full but the work had been easy, yet she now found herself exhausted. Funny how a simple conversation could change one's whole evening; how a small knock on the door could change everything.
She didn't know much about Artemis, having only met her a few times over the past year, but she felt that the girl could be trusted. Even so, she was uneasy. Artemis couldn't hide here forever. The CMI would find her before long, as they always did when they were set on finding someone, something she knew full well. Amy wiped at her eyes and tried to push the memories back where she had learned to keep them. Only recently had she finally been able to go days without thinking of him, but now everything was resurfacing. And the Poles. Knowing that they lived still was something. She couldn't help but still feel resentment for the elder one, after what had happened so many years ago. With these thoughts storming through her head, she finally managed to fall into a restless sleep.

Artemis awoke from a dream with a startle. She had dreamt a nightmare of being again in Mythe's prescence, in agony, and without breath, leaving her to wake in a cold sweat. She stood, trying to shake the feelings she had been left with, and fixed the couch. Afterwards she went to the bathroom, where she began to dye her hair after finding the box of brown dye with much ease. Her hair took a while to dye, but once she finished she was satisfied with her reflection, her hair was naturally healthy, and her beauty rare enough to pull off the color even though it was artificial. She then decided to shower, rinsing off the excess color, and dressing in the only clothes she had been given with the hope Amy would provide her with a later outfit. Once dressed and out of the shower she put up her hair up, and studied her reflection. The bump of injected Bullet Ant Venom was quite obvious, even when dressed, but besides knowing the fact that she would have to conceal it, this morning she had awoken having slept off what had been the left of the medication she was given the day before, and, though the pain was not so severe as the first day, the pain was still excruciating. The poison still coursed through her veins, not having completely left her body.
