What  Chicken  Breeds  Should  I  Get?

Yes well, 10 chickens as pets and for a small amount of eggs is perfect, I was worrying you where going to big for a beginner. I would Recommend Faverolles (they are like big silkies.lol.).
Don't forget if your getting chicks what your going to do with all the roosters?
Oh don't worry. My horseback riding teacher owns the barn where I board my two horses, and she has loads of chicks and said she wouldn't mind taking some roosters, as long as the number's aren't overwhelming (like, 10 is overwhelming, REALLY overwhelming, LOL).

Yeah, that could happen or worse, but I guess time will tell. Good luck and have fun.
Update us though.
Have you chosen a breed yet?
Not yet! I'm leaning more towards Silkies, Cochins, Polishes, or d'Uccles. Wait...I didn't realize I wanted that many. Now I have to start choosing all over again! Or maybe I'll just get 15 Silkies and sell the roosters to my horseback riding teachers. I heard you usually get more roosters than hens.

Ive heard silkie need special needs or something especially the one with the puff on their head (ask about?). Yeah it's around 60% roosters and 40% hens but there are always exceptions.
