100% hatch 16 in the brooder although 5 are not what they are ment to be I still got 11 faverolles

I take it the five don't have any feathers on their toes? They're still all cuties!

No they don’t they have 4 toes, no feathered legs and no beards/muffs, I know the breeder I got the eggs from also breeds buff Orpington’s so I assume that is what they are and there was a mix up when handing over the eggs

Sounds like it. I know Buffs are supposed to be real lovebugs so if they can't stay in the flock I'm sure someone will take them on.

Well final count for this hatch is 8 quail from the blue eggs and 10 from the jumbo brown eggs. The adult roos were a variety of colors, so even the big eggs gave some interesting results.

Yeh he looks great! Give it another 2 weeks and we'll see will be great if I get 1 boy and 3 girls!

First quail chick has hatched!

Up to 8 out of 11 with 2 more pipped. The 11th one died in shell after pip.

I have 1 chick hatched! The mother is an Australorp, and the father is either a Buckeye or a Blue Jersey Giant. I do not have pictures yet, but the chick is black with white tipped wings, a partly white chest, and a faint white dot on her head.
