Looks like first one quit... the other two have blood rings. Keep the 1st one on for a couple more days then check on it. If not bigger or moving, itās passed. On another note would anyone be able to tell me if these three eggs are dead or not? Iām pretty sure the middle one is but Iām holding out hope for the other two.
How many large eggs can you fit under a bantam?I have a Blue Dutch Bantam sitting on 7 eggs. 2 are a Black Australorp, 2 are a Blue Jersey Giant, 1 is her egg, 2 are Golden Laced Wyandottes. The Father of all the eggs is a Buckeye cockerel.

I ask because I have an OEGB pullet that Iām hoping will incubate some eggs for me next year. I have no idea how many eggs she can cover though.I think 7 Standard size eggs are her limit and I have 1 bantam egg and 6 Standard eggs. She is evenly distributing heat to all of them so far. She is my profile picture.
I have an "early bird" hatching today too! This is the first time I have participated in a Hatch-a-Long and these guys decided to show up the first day LOL. I was given these eggs for free and used them to test a new incubator....they were supposed to be barnyard mix chickens...but I think I'm seeing some guineas Lol. I'm just happy they are here and healthy![]()
