I lost my OE to a reproductive issue. I haven’t had many that lay before 20 weeks recently because most of my pullets are from me breeding. I usually do not hatch chicken eggs that have early laying because I don’t want it to be carried on to the offspring. After having lost two rare pullets to egg binding, I don't encourage early sexually maturity. If they are approaching POL, depending on season, I try to black out their housing early in the day till they are closer to 20 weeks.
