When I have bad eggs I can tell by touching the eggs before even candling. Quitters and infertile eggs do not get warm, they stay cold.
I did not know that. So possibly the dead eggs are messing with the temperature regulation?
This is my first time candling, I've been afraid to toss any in case I'm wrong, also they're maran eggs which doesn't help although I've been having good results with the candling system I built. I can see a definite difference in the early, later quitters and the growing ones. The ones with movement at the later stage are pretty easy even for a newbie.
Maybe I'll post some pics of the possibly iffy ones to be sure.
