A euphonium isn’t a bass, if that’s what you’re asking. Euphoniums are also called baritones (though purists will insist on pointing out small differences between the two) and okay in a range similar to the trombone. However, it’s probable that bass is a more common choice than euphonium. You can combine trombone and euphonium together into one choice in the poll if you don’t have room for more options.

I was just saying I had never heard of that word before this thread... And that I was removing that as an option on the poll and replacing it with bass.

I don't think anyone even knows what a euphonium is. Hold. I'm going to see if I can get the poll fixed.

I only know because one of DD's exes played the euphonium in the school band. It is kinda a tuba X French horn.

Pretty much, they’re really just mini tubas, and look like them too. Fun instrument to play - easier for me than tuba, anyway. Blowing into a tuba is like trying to fill up a black hole with air.
