Currently 53°, mostly sunny and the girls are still bringing in pollen. I thought I saw a drone go in, which surprised me. I figured they would have been kicked out already. Poor guys!

Another orientation from the spring split when walking interested couple through the basics, were surprised to see me open the box with no gear. After giving them the average startup cost asked if they could just purchase honey from us. Did mention I saw somewhere that there may be a program for Disabled Vets (burn Pits) to get started in bees.

Very few manage to make it to December here and I've heard even later. I never inspect hives in winter so maybe some could hang in later.

First big drop of the jet stream this coming wk. Going to get the hives buttoned up for winter. Been holding off on wrap, it's time. Also going to get the sugar block feeders ready.

Hives are wrapped, last of the syrup is on. I'll make sugar blocks around Thanksgiving week. Another orientation on the spring split as I finished up the wrap. Like seeing that. Great number of bees in all the hives..................come on spring.

I don't like to wish the days away, but I'm excited for spring too...lol
