Thanks! It’s got such a nice glossy finish to it. Today’s was bigger than normal. I can’t wait to hatch some of these.

Do you have any recent pics of your BCM cockerel you can still use? Curious how he's looking so far.

No I haven’t seen or heard or about him in a little while. I think my father in law set him out and he has been living with the neighbors flock.
I do like the way my BCM pullets are looking, they have a nice solid and broad look to them.
Soon as my broody BCM mama starts to lay again I will try to fill the incubator and then cull my pretty WTB rooster. He tried to rake the back of my leg yesterday. I can’t have that with my kids around. They’re already scared to go in the yard alone. I have a good feeling that I’ll get a nice rooster out of the broody raised WTB or when I cross to the BCM.

The newest chicks are doing well to keep up with the older chicks. I should have 6 more WTB hatching here on Sunday/Monday.

I haven’t been home in a few hours, but there were four chicks when I left and the fifth was pipped. Hopefully when I get back home they are all hatched.

Here’s a pic of the first 4 chicks in the temporary brooder.
The fifth chick hadn’t moved in about 24 hours after pipping, so I helped take the top off the shell and it popped itself out after about 5 minutes. I shouldn’t have intervened, I think it was too early because the yolk sac isn’t completely absorbed.
I upped the humidity to 80% and am leaving that one in the incubator. Right now it is still active and vocal, but not standing yet.
