šŸ£šŸ„Black Copper Marans and Whiting True Blues. Lots of videosšŸŽ„

The coop is getting a little closer to done. The last step will be the roll-away nest boxes. I was planning on making a design somewhat similar to these photos below.
The height will be about 13ā€ and the width will be as long as I want. Thereā€™s almost 8 linear feet of space for the nest box.
My question isā€¦ how long should I make the box? I potentially could have up to 10 hens using the coop. More likely 6 or 7. And secondly, do I even need to put dividers in the nest box?
The first 2 pics are the current state of the build. And the other pics are ideas for the nest boxes.

I did manage to get the door framed and in the hinges. I like it so far. I just need to put some wire on the front and then Iā€™ll get the nest boxes built. Iā€™ll probably make the box about 3 feet wide. Maybe 4. Iā€™ll see how much material I have left.
Hereā€™s a pic with the door assembled. My wife asked I bought the door haha.

The whitings hang out while I work.

Almost done. I need to pick up some hinges then Iā€™ll set the roof on the nest box. I didnā€™t cut the circular openings correctly, I shouldā€™ve had a lip on them in the front. Iā€™ll probably put astroturf as a liner/pad.

I finished the coop except for a few minor details and the Marans are checking it out. Itā€™s way too heavy to move without some extra help.

This thread has turned into a lonely diary. I guess the slow motion chicken movies put everybody to sleep.

Dear Chicken Diary,
Hereā€™s a photo of a whiting true blue cockerel age 8 weeks. Extremely vibrant yellow legs and coral colored comb. Yellow beak. Possibly due to the multi colored whole grain Indian corn?
Nicknamed Cupcake. Friendly and inquisitive. Was hatched as chimpmunk pattern without a line on his face. I wouldnā€™t know where to begin to describe his color and pattern except mottled blue/gray tail and body with red wings. Hints of barring on head and hackles.
