We have some pir days in a couple weeks, but my mom has to work them still. I won't know if I do until probably next week or that week.

I'll probably practice my makeup those days if I have them off and my dad is working in the office

Hmm, you know what I just realized? Next Friday is Friday the 13th. And it's in October! Spookiest day of the year? I don't know.

I finally started working on the costume - it took me long enough. I just cut out the wings and now I have to sew on the fabric and the wrap that makes it look shiny.

Next thing to do: Find a cheap dress that actually looks nice.

I'm going to see if I can find something to lighten my face for make up later today I think. I got to look up videos on how to contour so I can try and get closer to the face shape I'm looking for

That's a really good idea! I need a flowy light green dress. It just goes with my moth fairy type costume.

It seems to be approaching that time of year again... it's almost Halloween! Lots of people have changed their avatars and started getting ready. So, this chat is all about Halloween or other traditions you have around this time!

Anyone can join and talk. In fact, I bet everyone would love to hear you!

I celebrate Samhain with:

a final harvest and big ol’ chicken-led garden cleanup
a dish of pork with apples and onions (which will be completely locally sourced for the first time in the seven years I’ve made it — wooo!)
a little space in my home with candles, family mementos, and sweet treats to remember those who have passed on (both two-legged and four-legged)
and this year, new tradition: letting my girls carve their very own jack-o-lantern!

If we had trick-or-treaters, I’d celebrate regular Halloween too, but we’re too far in the boonies for that.

Baked a pumpkin loaf, watching Halloween movies, and we are going all in on the pirate costumes this year and got a blow up pirate ship for Halloween night when trick or treaters come! I love Halloween
