So sorry. I agree with aeveral others that electric fencing is one of the best and fastest ways to protect your hen.

The good news is, we have it on camera: an Akita and a husky. (We live in a rough urban neighborhood, so our security/camera system is safety thing.) The law here says the dogs must be taken out of city limits and if they are found within city limits they will be euthanized. My concern is that these dogs may attack larger animals if they are allowed to run the countryside.
