When I first started reading about Covid-19 back in December I had high hopes. It seemed apparent then that it was going to get to those countries that had relatively high standards of living. Such a standard of living inevitably meant high levels of travel and that would guarantee the spread of the virus.
I had hoped for human deaths in the billions, but it looks like it's not going to kill nearly enough people. A few thousand here and there isn't really worth all the noise.
Maybe the next virus. Now there's something to look forward to. Unfortunately I'll probably be dead by then.
