I understand the saftety gear how did we get to be adults without it

I've owned and been involved with horses my whole life. I have been out of it for some time but recently I've felt that spark reigniting! I'm looking for an ex polo pony that isn't knackered for myself to ride! The safety gear is a must for my girl. Its like not wearing a seat belt in the car. You may be lucky forever or you may have that one incident that changes your life. A plus is that she likes wearing it!

Tell you if it was there back then know my Dad would have done it also also seems that UK has always been leaps and bounds ahead of the US that way

I've been wearing safety gear since the 90's. Before then, not so much.
Late 80's here

Found a couple and shockingly [/sarcasm], they're blurry. Since I'm not the one taking the pics as usual... Maybe that's why I'm always photographer. My pics turn out nice.

Here is an old pic (post kidlet 1 and pre kidlet 2) of me and Big Red. (Halter is low because of boo-boo.)

Here is another old pic of me riding my (late - lost her exactly 1 year after losing my husband - miss her so damn much) best friend's SPB gelding. We were practicing for bridleless WP. He's wearing a headstall with a bit, but there are no reins attached. They're looped around his neck.

I'm sure I can find others if I dig on the computer. I dread doing that though. One day I will and post some show pics!
