The contractor is 23 years old... I belive this is his first. But hes got a long support line in the form of Dad and a boat loads of friends.Good morning all you happy binners out there!
Hope y'all have a great day.
@perchie.girl I am so excited for you! It won't be long till you are back in your own home and living la vida loca!
I am impressed with his work ethic. Hes a Mexican National but hes been a resident here since he was ten. And hes going through the process of getting his US Citizenship.
So hes documenting everything on his phone. I hope to get a boatload of pictures from him towards the end. The underpinnings of the house are/were pretty gnarly.
Kitchen when I moved in was aboutt six feet by six... I expanded that by removing a non weight bearing wall and removing the furnace. But by then I realized I shouldnt go further without expert help. So lived with a hole in the kitchen floor and ceiling dangling wires and Gawd aweful linoleum. Been like that since 2004.
The Bathroom needed the same treatment because the only thing That was keeping me from falling through the floor was the linoleum. I cashed in my 401 K and had the bathroom done. Subfloor up. Had the green house room rehabbed as well as a new roof put on.
This is the last leg for making my house truly livable. Laundry room and My original bedroom/art studio are on grade and in newer construction. Outside of a leak in the art studio Nothing needs to be done there.
Though I do have a Raging hate for Sliding glass doors so They are going. I have four.
Oh and I just located Dutch doors on Craigs list... YAY. Going to price them for the Art studio and the green house room entrance.
