@TheDawg
This took me less than 2 minutes to make.
I grabbed a big handful of mixed lettuces.
I dumped a pouch of lemon and garlic flavored tuna fish on top.
A few big slices of bread onion and bell pepper... And a handful of walnuts.
Easy peasy.
But I'm pointing out with my fork is the pouch of tuna fish I just smooth dumped it on.View attachment 2955097
No dressing.

There is a tiny bit of juice in the tuna fish pouch and that is plenty.
Why would you ruin your food with peppers :sick

Did my chores for the day. Took black and white on a 2.4 mile walk/jog/fast walk. Brought the boy child to have sushi for the first time. So had to walk the sushi off.

The liver sugar dump is way worse for diabetics, because you get a big high and then a big low. I'm a believer in intermittent fasting and avoiding simple carbs in general. For non diabetic folks the earlier you eat your complex carbs the better. I personally eat a very minimal carb breakfast (eggs and kale scrambled with salsa is my go to), I eat a good sized complex carbohydrate based lunch (usually beans or pulses), and go back to lower carbohydrate dinner (just a simple meat and veggie based meal). I swear I'd be so skinny if I could manage to eat a normal serving size and skip the evening drinks. That's my real issues, I just like to unwind with a drink at the end of the night. I'll get there eventually.
My best is being up about 4am if I eat 7-9. I also get so much done! :clap
If I'm up later, 6-7, Eating near dinner works nicely. I'm diabetic, I cut out the carbs. I've eaten meat and eggs with a tiny bit of dairy for over 2 years now. It's been the best decision to drop everything; sugar/fruits/vegetables in regards to my body's inflammatory response/allergies. I don't know how I managed in that much pain for so long. I started time-restricted eating last fall, and that's complemented carnivore eating. Today we ate at 11am and 4:30. It's been a positive move with my blood glucose.

Getting more sleep, reducing, and streamlining my life should help as well in the future. That's my goal right now.

Edit to remove question I already figured out lol

I have to ask, how do you maintain your mineral balances? Potassium, magnesium, calcium in particular without vegetables? Do you supplement?

I’m trying to get in shape for hiking Zion National Park this summer. I think I mentioned that already. Do y’all have any tips for that? I’ve been doing Stairmasters and lots of cardio
You should also try mocking up whatever backpack with the weight of your gear and incline treadmill.

This is mackerel. I buy it 12 at a time for $25. I don't consider that expensive.
That’s not expensive!? :th maybe mackerel is more expensive than tuna though? Or maybe it depends where you get it like for example if that brand is normally more expensive than that then maybe it would be good? Like the sale cat food I got today hah

Also the brand I was thinking of I think is a different one but I can’t remember for sure.
I'm not worried about the cost of a bag of tuna.
Nor am I worried about mercury in it. I eat so little tuna it won't kill me, I promise.

😃.
I just wanted to show Dawgie that she can make something extremely simple and quickly at home.
Ah that makes sense. I don’t even really eat tuna anymore but I might start again 🤣 I just recently bought a bunch of it and some tuna helper stuff but might try this thing too

Meant to quote Madam but forgot!

I'm the opposite. I can skip the drinks but not the carbs. I try and do my fiber filled carbs at breakfast and lunch and try to do no carbs at dinner but it's pretty hard for me. I love me some carbs
The 2 days of detox soup helps to control the cravings. I’m a big bread eater (and drinker) but even if it’s here, I do fairly well avoiding it. I had some beer on Friday but I cut my food calories enough that it did not derail my progress and the kegs are now empty!!!! I’ll be able to better monitor the occasional treat with bottles/cans and adjust accordingly.
