This is a thread about losing weight and being a better person. While no one here is perfect, the advice given so far is sound advice any doctor worth their spit would agree with. There is no crybabying in any of Kiki's threads
No where did I see it explicitly that this was just about losing weight. Really not trying to nitpick, just pointing it out. I absolutely am not here to lose weight, I'm here to do a bit of extra exercise to try and get a little more in shape and maybe gain some muscle. My extra is that, not losing weight or changing my diet, despite what other people seem to think apparently.

I totally get that what I do is absolutely wretched to some people. But it works for me and I have my own ways of helping balance it.

I just want to get a bit more in shape and figured that doing it in a group of people doing just what they feel is best for them would be best since I wouldn't be badgered about things I'm not looking to change. Yesterday morning was admittedly a little tough though and I started having second doubts this was a good fit when I made what I assumed to be a kind of joking remark/side comment and suddenly was pounced on for it.

I understand that some people here have health concerns and are working for that angle. And I get that everyone here just wanted us all to succeed with our goals. But I don't understand why it was apparently necessary for me to continuously state what I would and would not be changing and why.

Mini rant over for me with that.

We all come from diverse backgrounds and have very different perspectives, and goals for that matter. I'm definitely a person with strong opinions about things, but I hope I wasn't part of making anyone feel raked over the coals for personal choices. Either I'm part of the problem or I missed a few pages. Either way, I think this thread is a good way to have some accountability for making positive changes for a healthier life. And I will definitely try to keep these things in perspective, we all start somewhere, every little change adds up and we always have the burden to do better, once we know better.

Our plan is for us to spend more time together doing what we have wanted to do for years. We want to have time to smell and enjoy the flowers around us and in so doing we will be more content with life. We don't need "all" the newest gadgets, just some of them. I need to pull back a bit as far as work is concerned, I have been for the last 20 years literally just consumed with it. Not a good lifestyle at all. The years have screeched past us at an alarming rate. I finally heard my wife and took some time to listen to her concerns for my physical wellbeing. I am liking it a lot already and have only been off work for a week now. I plan on taking the whole month of January off to recalculate and try to figure out how we really want to live our lives. My Dad had a lot of regrets when he was on his deathbed about the lack of time he spent with his children, he advised me that there were some things in his life looking back that were really not that important, but he thought so at the time. He also advised me to slow down a bit, look around at others around me and not just be consumed about doing my own things. He advised me to be helpful to others, a good listener and a proper divider of the short time that we actually have here. It has taken me four years for his advice to really sink in and for me to start doing something about it. I want to be be a doer, not just a forgetful hearer.

You reminded me I should do photos. I have never actually done this step before. I think the time has arrived for me to pan the camera out past the cleavage and see what's actually going on below the boobs 😂
I usually just see a group or candid shot someone else took and freak out for a minute before I remember the sea of beer and pizza that led to this voluptuous physique 🤣🤣🤣

Here’s sample photos and measurement trackers that I use.

Hang on. I'm reading a lot of "you shoulds" in this thread and wondering about that. Admittedly, I'm way behind already, but when a person makes a New Year's resolution (or not), shouldn't it be their OWN decision what they are or are not going to do, and not be subject to a lot of peer pressure? Not pickin' on you, Dawg, you're not the only one doing it. @JacinLarkwell has stated her position on this and she is getting raked over the coals here. She SHOULD do what she thinks is right for her, IMO.
No coals here... Jacin is our buddy. There are group PMs that most of us belong to together. There is a history many people don't understand but believe me when I tell you there is not coal burning going on.
Jacin is a bruh. Dawg is Dawg.

@Kiki where's the ticker sheet? Can you put it on page one so it's easy to find?
Yes. I'll do it right now but also...

Once you open a Google sheet once it remains on your Google Sheet list if you are logged in to your Google account when you first open it.
You should be able to open your Google sheet account and see a list of all sheets you have ever opened.

Like this...you can change this red circled stuff to show sheets only owned by you too.

Have you given me an email address yet to add you as an editor? You can't edit/add ticker unless I add you to do so.
