I also made a batch of fermented kraut. My first batch. Do I eat it chilled or are there any suggestions on how to use it? I read that if you cook it the good stuff dies. No idea on this one

I eat it chilled on Polish dogs in a bun. I eat it hot in sauerkraut with pork and dumplings served on mashed potatoes.

We do the same thing on New Years Day. Pork kraut and potatoes. Well except this year…Chinese carry out.

It was our traditional New Year's meal. Now it is whenever I happen to get around to it. It didn't happen yesterday. It was a nasty, cold, windy, snowy day so I made elk chili.
