I really love this group and all of you have helped me tremendously!

I have an important question regarding my duckling with scoliosis that I posted under Emergencies and Diseases yesterday.
Not one person answered and I truly need help and advice.. 💔

I saw your post but unfortunately I have zero experience so cannot help. Maybe you should look on the duck threads and tag some people who might know something.

Are you certain the duckling does have a crooked spine and not wry neck? Wry neck can be common and many use vitamin E with a bit of egg daily for selenium to try it.

Spondylopathies which include kinky back and scoliosis, kyphosis, and lordosis are genetic. Some birds may eventually have spinal impairment and leg paralysis due to the condition. I can’t find much on ducks, but here is a bit to read about chickens with scoliosis:

they can usually live a normal life, I suggest going to a avian vet so s/he can give you more advice. as long as your duckling can get to food and water easily I would not worry to much. just keep a eye on her to make sure it is not getting worse and she can still get to shelter, food and water easily. if it can't I would make it a chicken wheel chair. here is a link to one: https://www.facebook.com/chickentherapychairs/
