I believe that is a fallacy. If you could be there every day, it would get the local wildlife more acclimated to you.no we typically donāt hunt sundays as there is still too much work to be done here and 2 days straight on same property is enough pressure.
You may be correct but shooting does not always equal poaching. People around here can hear gun shots from time to time. I am not poaching. Mostly they think I shot someone's dog. They are wrong. I have not had to shoot any dogs since I put up a 2"x4"x6' welded wire fence around the acreage that I let the birds free range on.we also got extremely frustrated yesterday as it seems there is a lot of poaching occurring within a mile of the property that we hunt. it is archery season until 14th NOV and both days around sunrise we heard single rifle shots from nearby properties![]()
I don't rake any leaves here. I allow them to stay where they fall. If My sand didn't need every last bit of organic matter, I would pick them up and put them in my garden. I would never throw them away.i woke up @6am.....mr muddy is sleeping in
he wants to get the fiero on the ground today which will probably take 4-6 hours
I need to bag the leaves i raked yesterday to put on the curb for pickup
we have to winterize the jet ski, boat, and camper
we also need to finalize aviary preparations and harvest anything ready in the garden
itās exhausting just looking at the list!!!
yeah but it sounds like a āknowledgeable reasonā for the poor excuse of being too lazy to take our old butts out and climb a tree 3 mornings in a row!!I believe that is a fallacy. If you could be there every day, it would get the local wildlife more acclimated to you.
That is an excuse I can accept but it is also bad form. I recommend that you switch your routine. Wildlife gets accustomed to your routine and does adapt. They know they are safe from you on Sundays.yeah but it sounds like a āknowledgeable reasonā for the poor excuse of being too lazy to take our old butts out and climb a tree 3 mornings in a row!!![]()
iām all about giving benefit of doubt but weāve been hunting this particular property for a few years now and the change in the type of people etc. it is my sincere hope that i am wrong and the shots were at a coyote or something else but weāve not actually seen much coyote activity on or near this particular property. i can say that the proximity of at least one of the shots to the area of my previous trees was a bit unnerving! You may be correct but shooting does not always equal poaching. we will be changing the routine a bit over the next few weeks. next weekend marks the scientific rut for our area. it is also the last full weekend of early archery before the āorange armyā is released on Nov 14. Hopefully we will have most of our home stuff buttoned up enough that we can spend more time in the tree. we will also start splitting time between the two properties starting 14th as this property owner allows one other person to hunt rifle season Sun-ThThat is an excuse I can accept but it is also bad form. I recommend that switch your routine. Wildlife gets accustomed to your routine and does adapt. They know they are safe from you on Sundays.
