Too many cows!!!

I started with two bred cows and a bull. Right now I have two cows. Two almost year olds and the heifer calf.

Bull is getting slaughtered this year for sure. I may sell baby M and momma as a pair. If they don’t sell then momma will get slaughtered in April also.

Ultimate goal is one cow one bull and eat the offspring. Most on five acres that way would be 4.

Right now Omar the 11 year old bull is 30% of my feed bill.

Beef prices are in the toilet! The corona crap has slowed the processing of animals. When it lifts, there will be a glut for about 6-8 months, then beef will skyrocket for about a year before leveling out. Ranchers aren’t enlarging herds until there is an outlet. Feed is speedy.
