We always froze Snickers bars and cans of Pepsi. Have to be careful not to leave the pop cans in too long. You just want to turn them in to a nice slush.

I'll have to try the frozen pop.... heard horror stories about it so I've avoided it...

Too funny I am doing beans tonight too.
I also did not think to soak them last night so I started them on the stove and I'm getting ready to put them in the crock pot now.
We eat late around here so it should be done by about 8:00 tonight.

I sautee the veggies first and then add them. That way the chili is done quicker and has more flavor.

I'm using some ham hock things in my beans.
I'm going to slow make some cabbage and sausage stuff.
Both go over white rice.
