He has grown into a beautiful Fawn And White Runner Drake.

Looking at him stings a bit because he looks exactly like Mr. Limpy who disappeared this spring...

I thought about this long and thoroughly. - Mr. Limpy disappeared on the 4th of May and the first ducklings hatched in early June, so wishful thinking? - And no, he won't be named after Mr. Limpy, first he is not limping and second it still stings…
The little one will earn a good name for himself, i'm sure.

Anyways, the plan was to replace all the lower panels with OSB/Styrofoam/OSB sandwiches for better insulation before the cold season. The dux says: »Start working on it now!«

My call duck I used to have used to eat the styrofoam I had laying around inside of the house. I don't know if its the texture, the look, the TASTE? All I know is that ducks go crazy for it.
