1/2 of my chicks hatched on day 19/20 now nothing but 1 standstill pip

Is that ok? Strange 6 were so early now nothing. Hope the rest are alive eek

Sounds like your incubator temperature was a tad high. Next time you hatch, bump it down a half to one whole degree or so. Good luck for the rest of your hatch!!

they may just be resting whatever you do dont open the bator or your chicks willstick to the shell and die really no other way to put it !!

The pipped one will stick or even the non pipped ones? I had to open it once

Humidity stayed the same though. I just added water through a vent hole because I had the vents closed and decided the others needed some air to fluff

I had 3 thermometers in there and all read different ugh who knows lol

They're new hampshires and barred rocks

6 have hatched an 5 have done nothing at all the last one has pipped but making very very slow progress

Whatever happened with this? I'm having the same thing. 6 hatched yesterday and something like 40 are doing nothing. There were temperature spikes everytime a chick hatched--did that kill the others?
