I just hatched some silkie chicks and the first chick to hatch has been trying to walk on her hocks. Her toes don't seem to be very curled, but she can't seem to get her feet under her and straighten her legs out. The skin on the back of her hocks is open and I can see bone/tendon. I am able to straighten her legs out a little bit for her.
There were no issues with her hatch, temp and humidity remained stable at all times. I have just now taken her out of the incubator after over 24 hrs and wrapped her legs for splay leg to see if that would help, but she still can't seem to stand properly. Any advice or ideas are appreciated!

Start some chick vitamins orally that have riboflavin, such as Poultry Cell 2 drops daily, Polyvisol without iron baby vitamins 2 drops, or human vitamin B complex 1/4 tablet crushed in a spoonful of water given orally. The leg hobble looks good. Put some Betadine on the wound on the hock. Do you have any antibiotics?

How did this little baby do after this? I’m going through the same thing with my silkie and she is so stubborn and smaller compared to the other chicks. I’ve been trying everything. I’m scared I’m either not doing enough or doing wrong
