Is this common behavior for ducklings? How do I soothe it or make it comfortable unless his brothers and sisters arrive? I pipped and other 2 not pipped yet....i need some advice on what to do? This little guy has got to be exhausted from peeping non stop. Thank you

It has very likely imprinted on you and sees you as Momma duck now. Am mirror and a fuzzie may help for some time, but it will always be happier when it is with you. That's something special! - But can also be really stressful…

Yep that is a possibility but a mirror and not running to it when it cries helps plus having other due to hatch definitely helps..:frow

Pretty sure your baby imprinted on you. It thinks its your mom and would rather be with you then alone. As said before mirror and stuffed animals are good things for your baby. We for sure need to see a pic of this duckie!
Oh my goodness!! What does imprinting mean during this process? I missed that in my reading up on incubating and hatching..lol...that makes total sense though with the way he is soooo upset when he cant see me! Here is a pic of the cutie!!
