1 day old Quail chick curled feet questions

Good morning,
First time hatching quail eggs.... the last one had to be assisted as i was zipping longways with her head at the small end of the egg and making no progress after several hours.... He/she hatched at first flopping all over curled up as if still in the egg but finally staightened out but has curled feet... THey are curled inward like little fists... I got one boot on her last night but it appeared because of the position her feet the boot was turning upside down (hope that makes sense)...Anyway this morning i took it off.... My question is can he/she live with her feet like this? It appears she is eating and drinking and chirping and getting around. I don't know what else i can do. Don't know if i should try and boot her again or not... she is quite scrappy and wiggly i don't want to cause more damage. If she can survivie like this i will just keep her as an inside pet.... but i want to do whatever i can to help her/him....Sorry for the ramble and thank you in advance for any help
 
This is common in quail in my experience. I've found that it usually resolves on its own.

First day in the incubator with no food no water, and then the first few days in the brooder I do chick starter crumbles soaked in Hydro Hen electrolytes and probiotics with an egg yolk mixed in as their food. First day do hydro hen only as wayer, then ease off with that to regular water. Curled toes at hatch are common, curled toes as adults are not in my experience. Sorts itself out.

The beaks being deformed and breaking off and regrowing I have found also to be relatively common and also not a significant hinderance to the birds.

Good luck! Quail are fun to have around. And just a heads up: quail chicks are horrible at everything except 1, killing themselves. Your main task when brooding quail is to keep them from drowning, from snuggling up under the bedding(towels at first to prevent splay leg) and then dying, etc etc etc. With vigilance though, I'm sure you and your birds will be fine.

It doesn't have riboflavin which is B2. You can get B-complex from any vitamin aisle, crush it and sprinkle it over the chick crumbles. Chicks can't overdose on B vitamins as the excess is excreted in the urates.

But give the chick a few days with the taped toes to see if the conditions corrects as @Bug n Flock advises.

I also bought poly visol without iron but did not know how much to use....do i just get b complex like i would take and crush them real tiny
 
Ok so i booted her and now her legs are sliding :( I have paper towels down but the bandades are slippery.... what can i put do to prevent her from doing the splits? I have pine shavings but was not sure if i could use them yet
