1 healthy chick out of 13 eggs

On my first try using a LG incubator I had one very strong chick to hatch on day 21. Today is Day 23 and I broke one open to find it dead in the shell. The rest of the eggs show no activity. What Happened?

There are many possibilities. Sometimes your humidity isn't high enough( or the opposite, and if your eggs were shipped they may have suffered rough handling. I have also heard a couple other complaints on LG incubator, so the incubator plays a role too.

These eggs were my eggs. Used the LG with egg turner the humidity stayed between 55 & 58 the first 18 days and i was only able to reach 62 the last three. when I candled everything look fine. The one that hatched exploded about 12 hrs after PIP and healthy.

I believe the humidity is supposed to reach 65%. Sometimes even a little can affect hatching rates.

I use a LG incubator and never raise my humidity above 20% through day 18. Then I raise the humidity to 55-60% for lockdown.

What if the humidity outside the incubator is above 50? Last 3 days I had 2 wet sponges and water channels full and humidity only stayed between 60-62

I just did the water test on the remaining eggs i seem to have 1 that's still alive.
