    Will they also do that while laying???? My RIR does that when she's in the nestbox and i get near, she also screams. they she gets off when done.

    I do have some mean hens on the nest. My black Rock, Emily, is one of the worst. She'll threaten to take your face off if you even look at her while she's laying. She is the broody type, though--went broody in Nov and then quit on Day 17, silly hen.
