you can always make a chicken tractor..a chicken tractor can be moved around and are able to be small. look on youtube and there a hundreds of videos to reference. if you can have something that is easily moved around then your chicks can be "free ranged" without any danger from the neighborhood. the run part is uncovered by anything so they can be able to scratch around in the grass. you can put a cover on one end so they have shelter...if you think they need light on them then you can set up the light on one end of the tractor. usually heating lamps are able to be outside in the weather-check yours first.

I dont know my chickens genders, so if they're roosters i need to buy hens. and i will need more space.
