1 month old chick only walking backwards in circles & has jerking neck-GETTING WORSE

My Serama chick needs help please...

He/She turned 1 month old yesterday. Today he/she is chirping very loudly & almost constantly & can only walk backwards in a circle. It's also making little jerking movements with his/her head.

I have no idea what is wrong or what to do.

Your little chick may be suffering from wry neck which can be the result of a head injury, a vitamin deficiency, or unfortunately Mareks Disease. I would start your chick on PolyVisol baby vitamins 1-2 drops daily by mouth. Vitamin E with selenium is also helpful. I'm giving her Pol-Vi-Sol, probiotics, electrolytes, & Vit E w/Selenium. She is way worse today than yesterday.

She won't open her eyes anymore, her left leg is cold, & she isn't putting up much of a fight.

How do I feed her without it going into her lungs? I'm not having any luck because every time I put anything in her mouth she starts breathing funny.

How do I humanely put her out of her misery if it comes to that? If she doesn't eat soon, I'm afraid she's gonna die.

You could tube feed her, but it sounds as though she won't make it. Equal parts of vinegar and baking soda in an air tight box or coffee can is a good method for chicks and small birds--it takes only a minute or two for euthanasia.
