1 month old chick singing the egg song???

So my Buff Orp chick, Rupi/Rupin I still can’t decide if hen/roo, started making this weird “buc-buc-buc-buc-buc-buc-buCAAAhh” sound over and over this morning. The bucs were quiet but s/he was loud on the last part like a squeak. I know s/he’s too young to lay any type of egg but I wanna know if this is even normal???? HELP!

Yeah, I do, I think they have been cleaning their crop alot and jumping around alot than usual. and their wattles are coming in fast. They might be a Rupin

That's definitely a cockerel. Fun fact: The first time I heard the egg song, ever, in my very first flock it was the roo. I was so very, very confused.

Update, heres more recents of him.

He’s getting so big, he still makes the “buk-buk-buGAWKKK” sound, every time I leave the room. I think I even heard him do a half crow. Its adorable.
