3 Chicks, 1 black, 1 white, and one Is bronze! Starting to think of coops and open areas for them during the day, we currently have small area for them, were set on food, water, food and dispensers. I'm just wondering what kind of coop to get, how big and what requirements.

Questions
1. Are coops for the night or day?
2. What bedding do I use? Or can I use grass
3. Do they need small cube areas? I've seen some small boxes where chickens lay and chill during the day

We need more information about your climate, any restrictions on size, height etc, to make recommendations. As a general rule, you want a minimum of (per chicken): 4 sq ft in coop, 1 linear ft of roost, 1 sq ft of ventilation, 10 sq ft in run, 1 nest box per 3-4 hens. But those are minimum guidelines and your climate and set up may favor more of one thing or another.

1. Coops are enclosed (generally) predator and weather protected areas for chickens to sleep in.

2. Bedding in a coop can be almost any material that's non toxic and dry, with some cushion to it. Wood shavings or chips, sand, hay or straw, are a few examples.

3. I believe you're talking about nest boxes but chickens should not be allowed to "rest and chill" in them. They're for laying eggs in and (depending on set up) for mama hens to hatch eggs in.
