Dallas, Georgia.
I keep 5 keets with 7 chicks in their own 3'x3'x2' wired run. All 1 month old. They sleep on the grass piled up, and in the morning I move their run to fresh grass. Always refreshing the water and giving ample feed. It's been rainy these past few weeks, with scattered showers then very warm sunshine, so I provided areas to keep dry or shaded. This morning I go out and find 1 keet seemingly lounging in the shade, with a chick standing on her. Obviously this didn't seem right so I go over and very easily grab her. I find her very calm, with one leg tucked underneath her and one splayed out. The one that's splayed out behind her is slight cold and she doesnt move it at all. The one underneath her can't support her weight and she doesnt like to move that either. Her crop is full, and she's pooping regularly (soft but solid, black and streaks of white, very normal). I'm really not sure what to make of this. These are my first Guinea fowl, and I've never had this problem with my chicks. I have her burrito'd into a dish towel to keep her warm right now. Gave VetRX and cleaned any poop off of her. Any suggestions? (Going to the vet is completely off the table) attached are photos of her in her current condition.

I’m sorry that your keet is sick! Have you tried posting in the Diseases/Emergencies forum? You’ll need to try to figure out whether the leg is damaged or the keet is weak from some other problem.

The leg doesn't seem injured, and the other leg is now cold, both withe toes curles and unfeeling. I put high protein feed and probiotic water in front of her, and she's leaning against a heating/brooder plate now. Very sleepy 😕 and haven't posted anywhere else. I'll try to find that forum, thank you!

Sounds like a systemic issue. Have you checked the crop and poop? Is the keet eating and drinking? I hope it pulls through! :fl

I know you're in Georgia and it's summer but the wet cold may be too much for 4 wk olds-esp if your temps drop at night like mine have past few nights.
Heat, definitely. Complex b vitamins, 1/2 tab to 1 gal of water daily. I found liquid complex B that really gave mine a boost of energy to get over the hump.
High protein feed for a few more weeks. They use a lot of energy- more than chicks, so chick feed isnt adequate.
Be prepared for likelihood of developing coccidiosis -its an opportunistic protozoa and you've a weakened keat thats been in the rain, stressed, etc, and we're telling you to fix a vitamin deficiency with vitamins that coccidiosis thrive on.- so be prepared, have the corid on hand. If its still wet and rainy I suggest moving the others inside. They're just a bit young yet to thrive in cold wet conditions.

I have a Keet 6+ weeks looks like the same problem. She can't move one leg and looks like you Keet, leg out to the side and behind. I think it Mareks disease. I took her from her mother and am caring for her in the house. Don't know what to do for her.

I seriously doubt that your keet has Mareks. Guineas have fragile legs that can be very easily injured.
