Are you sure of your protien levels? The average live wieght for us was 5#15, which would give at least a 4# carcass. We processed at 8 weeks for an average finish of 7#2.

I am sure of the protien. I have been using the same mix for the last 4 years. And at 8 weeks they dress out with avg of 5# per bird.

How much did it cost to build ?

I had most of this stuff laying around from old projects.



Materials
24 - 2 x 4 or 2 x 2 your choice
3 sheets of 4 x 8 - 1/2 ply or something similar for outdoor use
2 sheets of green house glass 4 x 8 or you can use ply. I used these cuz I had them and wanted birds to get as much natural light as possible
1 roll 24 inch tall by 25 feet long chicken wire (pvc coated what I had)
Staples, Nails, 25 screws

Cut:
21" long 2 x 4/2 x 2 22 pcs Uprights and top Sides
2 x 4 / 2 x 2 x 8 ft long 6 pcs Side B, D, and top Rails
2 x 4 / 2 x 2 x 89 Inches long 4 Side A, C
For the 4 angled pcs I basically put the 2 x 4 up to the angle scribed and cut
2 - 4 x 8 1/2 ply cut to 24 inches tall for sides.
1 - 4 x 8 1/2 ply and cut to 30 inches wide by 8 feet long for top
