1 night old hatchlings

These babies hatched last night.

One of my babies was stuck and required assistance in getting out. He appears to have a gimp leg when he tries to walk- should I be concerned now or give him/her a few days?

Depending on what the disability is, you may be able to correct it early. Is the leg splayed outward? Or is it the foot itself, toes curling under or otherwise deformed?

Something to check for when a chick was stuck is a piece of membrane that got sealed to the feathers and is preventing normal movement. I had two chicks like that last year, I couldn't figure out why they could not walk. Looked like they had balance issues or a neuro problem. Examined closely and the membrane had dried to basically invisible, but was sticking the wing to the body on one, and the leg to the body on the other, preventing normal movement. Worth checking out.

Praying it works. The one with both legs has BEAUTIFUL marking. I don't know how likely it is that will change, but pretty
