Happy Thanksgiving all!

I have a 1 year plus Salmon Favorelle rooster, John Stamos, who broke his wing over the summer mating some of the girls. Poor guy. It healed poorly and he can no longer use it. Until recently he was doing well. Still mating (or trying to) with one wing. Roosting and doing all the chicken things.

He is also molting.

In the past week, he stopped crowing again. Would huddle in the corner. So he’s inside now with a heater. We brought him in because he was tipping over and couldn’t get back up. It was so heartbreaking. But over the past two days, he is having trouble standing. He pushes with both feet, can grip, and can stand supported. He stood for a few minutes yesterday without help. Was eating and drinking. Today, he’s much more weak (it seems). He only ate a little and has just been lying under his heater. It’s cold here so we’ve been trying to keep his joints warm.

Eats all flock

Poops normal

Minimal treats

Treating with poultry cell

Tilts to the left (his broken wing side), but today his right leg will shoot out to stabilize.

Any ideas on what else I can do for our little guy.

I hope you're able to sort him out. Sadly I lost my rooster (and a hen) who had balance issues. Concerned about my youngest rooster as he spins, but unfortunately I don't know how to help.

I’m so sorry for your losses. You just want to do all you can for them. Have you given them b vitamins?
