She is eating and drinking and moving about the brooder well. She keeps shaking her head though, what could be the problem?
Not an emergency, I know. Wasn't sure which section to post in.
Thank you
Anyone have any ideas? She is still skahing her head this morning. I checked her over for anything amiss but she looks perfect...? Could she have something stuck in her nostril that I can't see? How can I help her? Poor thing can't sleep very well, keeps shaking her head, like she's got an itch or something. All of the others are fine.

It started last night. She is not vaxed, unless they come from the hatchery vaxed. I got her at TSC. She is a bantam, so her nostrils are tiny but I don't see any obvious blockage. No sign of mites or other bugs, all other chicks are fine. She is still eating and drinking... moving around normally. But when she is laying still or sleepy I would think it bothers her.
I've given her a thorough check-over as best I can and don't see any problems...?
I'll keep an eye on it. She is still eating and drinking and piddling about in the brooder. Poop looks like the others' and just seems bothered when she tries to sleep.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Thanks!
*eta that it's almost like something is tickling her face, eyes or nose. Can I somehow flush her nostrils? She's in ther chirping now while the others nap.
don't think it would be a good idea to flush her nose, might risk getting fluid into her lungs. just watch and if dust or food is in there hopefully she'll sneeze it out on her own.. what are you using for bedding?
it's hard to say she could have gotten some dust, feed or a small piece of shaving stuck in there if it just started, all you can do is just give it some time and hopefully she'll work it out.
What happened? I have a bantam that we just bought today 3 days to a week old. She's doing the same thing. Our bedding is also pine chips. Any help would be great.:/
