My baby goose is chewing it's own wing until it's bleeding! What did I do wrong and how do I fix this?

I agreeSome goslings for some reason just chew - on themselves, on their brooder mates, etc. I would put some blu kote on the wing so that no other birds are drawn to it to start picking at it. Are you sure it's the gosling doing it to itself and not other gosling you're brooding it with?
I would also add other things to the brooder to distract the goslings. You could add cat toys hung on strings, you could hang up some greens for them to pick at and eat, etc. Also try to get them outside, weather permitting, so that they can graze, as that will also distract them and give them something else to focus on.
I think I'm just a lousy "Mother Goose". I have no idea of what I'm doing. I took them for a stroll the other day when I thought the weather was nice, a few hours later, one of them died. The feathers on the other two are just starting to come in. They won't eat grit out of a cup, but pig out on it if it's in my hand. I don't know how often or how much to give them. Do I feed them the grit still in the sand or do I wash it first? I raised three children, but can't figure out baby geese. Some goslings for some reason just chew - on themselves, on their brooder mates, etc. I would put some blu kote on the wing so that no other birds are drawn to it to start picking at it.
