It's not quite are as red.

Be gentle when cleaning her. I'd try an anti-inflammatory cream to help with inflammation.
Wet soupy feed, keep her well hydrated and I'd get some coconut oil into her as well so she's not straining to poop.

She's not too hot is she?

Update still is occasionally getting pasty but but I have completely moved her from the brooder to see if the heat lamp is the culprit. Now I have watched her eat and drink and have discovered a nother potentially bothersome issue. She seems to have some swelling on one side. It doesnt seem to be hard and goes down some but never goes away. Otherwise she is a very talkative chick and will move around.

She moves around a lot when I try to wash her off. Sitting her in a bowl of warm water tends to help loosen any gunk up, she doesn't freak out much and seems to enjoy the warmth but it does result in her feathers getting wet from her sitting in the water. I stand there the entire time and make sure to dry her off.

Thats what I thought. It does get bigger when she eats or drinks but should it only be on one side?
Sorry, she seems to be acting fine otherwise and I worry something else is wrong since she keeps having issues and that Ill just check on her at some point, and well y'know.

The crop is on the right side of the breast, so it looks to be in the correct location to me.

LOL She's getting water everywhere huh? If you have a hair dryer, you can gently give her a bit of a blow dry once your done soaking her. Mine seem to like the warm air and they don't seem to get as chilled as they do if you put them back in the brooder damp.

Acting fine is good. But she's still having some problems with pasting over?
What temp is the area she's in?

It's funny how most of them seem to really enjoy being blow dried once they feel the hot air and realize it's not scary and feels good.

At the moment 82, I took her out of the brooder till I could get a plate. right now it is kept warm by a heating pad and a rice-filled sock I heat up when I want her to settle down for the night.

It only seems to happen when she is left alone for a while. Is there a better diet I could be feeding her other than chick starter and scrambled eggs?

She is sitting by my desk so she tells me when she wants more food or some cuddles. Right now she is content on my shoulder, the ambient temp of the room is 83-86.

Huh, I didn't realize it was only on one side.
